He Is Alive!

Happy Easter!!

Today is a day of celebration! Christ is Risen! Death has lost its sting. It no longer holds power over us. Christ stands in victory.  Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. Here is where my hope is found.

The best way to express this wonderful day is through a couple of verses from one of my favorite songs, "In Christ Alone" by Stuart Townend & Keith Getty

                           Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
                               For I am His and He is mine -
                     Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

                         No guilt in life, no fear in death,
                        This is the power of Christ in me;
                       From life's first cry to final breath.
                            Jesus commands my destiny.
                      No power of hell, no scheme of man,
                        Can ever pluck me from His hand;
                          Till He returns or calls me home,
                      Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.


Through Christ death and resurrection I have found new life. I'm no longer a slave to sin. I have been bought with  the precious blood of Christ. My God loves me and you so much that He shed His blood for our sins. That is the price He paid for our ransom. Just as vital as His death was so is His resurrection. He rose from the dead. He came back to life. My God is not a dead God, HE IS ALIVE!

Through His life I have come to live a new life full of joy, hope and freedom. I no longer have to rely on my own strengths and abilities and hope everything will work out.  Jesus is now in control and He commands my destiny. He guides me in the direction that brings me closer to Him. Nothing can harm me now that I am in His hand.

He is my Provider, Healer, Comforter, Strength, Refuge, Joy and Savior. In Him I lack for nothing.
