Our Friends the Quinns

After a week of Scrooge rehesrals and late nights, I am really looking forward to this Thursday break. A day of rest before the mad rush of the weekend production. It has been fun but I need to sleep at a decent hour at least one night this week. Well, I'm choosing to spend this break to with some dear friends.

Gino and Laura Quinn have been our close friends for over 10 years. We met at church when we were all dating and we where just starting our adult lives. Our acquaintance grow into a beautiful friendship. We stood in each others weddings and have been part of the most important moments, especially celebrating their 3 precious children.  Theirs is a friendship that Scott & I deeply cherish.

In the past year or two they have been preparing to move to Georgia. The Lord has called them to the mission field. Now I know what you're thinking, Georgia doesn't need missionaries, its part of the bible belt! Yes, this is true. The organization, Operation Mobilisation (OM), where they will be serving is stationed in Georgia. OM missionaries travel around the globe using the ARTS to introduce Christ. They go to very restricted areas, where it's dangerous to be a Christian, and put on dramas, concerts and things of that nature. Countries allow them in because they are viewed as performance groups not missionaries. It's a wonderful ministry!

Both Gino & Laura have music in their blood. He plays guitar & sings and Laura sings which makes Gino sound better. : ) Because of the danger element involved in some of their mission trips, Laura & the kids will not be traveling with him. Gino has actually already gone on several of these trips. They have seen how God has moved in their lives and how God has blessed them because of their obedience.

I am so proud and blessed to have them as my friends. Though I'm sad to see them go, I know that the Lord will do great things through them and that He will bless their efforts in forwarding His kingdom.

Before they leave they must raise the funds to get there. They need partners to provide financial support. Below is a link to their blog, all the information for how to support them is there. Prayerfully consider being part of their Partnership Team.
