Hello, Again!
The silence has been broken. The sound of children has graced these quiet halls. The first day of school has arrived. The first day is always an exciting and stressful day for both student and teacher alike. Beginning anew is refreshing. The actions and words of the past are just that, in the past. It's a new chance to start over. The board is wiped clean and is ready to write a new story. It's exciting! A new chapter will be written. A chapter full of adventure, learning, joy, mystery, sadness, joy, laughter and all the emotions in between. Yes, a new school year brings much hope!
With that hope there are dreams that one has for their students. You want them to succeed in this life. You want to provide the necessary skills and common sense to venture into this life with wisdom and discernment. You want them to take caution but not at the expense of adventure. You want them to think outside the box and yet not to abandon those things that are tried and true. Yes, as a teacher has many dreams and hopes for their students.
This year I have a full class, 24 students. I'm sure there will never be a dull day. I have expectations, dreams and hopes for my students. I have the privilege of having them so young, 5-6 years old. Their minds are sponges and their hearts so innocent and true. I want them to learn all the academics but more importantly I want them to experience the love of Jesus. I want them to know that in life their is only true God. With that knowledge and prayerfully with acceptance of Jesus in their hearts they can learn to love one another. When you love God with all your heart and mind you learn to love each other. It's so important to teach them this, especially at such a young age. It's paramount.
As this year begins I pray for wisdom, discernment, boldness and creativity. I pray that God grants me ability to speak His word in truth and love. May this year be pleasing to the Lord.
